She’s incredibly caring, creative, and loves holiday traditions. For as long as i can remember she would open up our home to friends and family who didn’t have anywhere to go for the holidays. She makes everyone feel welcome, cooks way too much food, and then complains when we don’t eat it all 🙄
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Speaking of the holidays, many years ago she asked us what we want for Christmas dinner. my brother and i were brats and asked for McDonald’s cheeseburgers, so now every time we come home for the holidays there’s a plate of cheeseburgers cut into quarters with tooth picks stuck in them 😆

Also, even though i am in my “mid-to-late thirties” she still makes me text her before take off and landing to make sure i arrive safely and sends not-so-subtle reminders if i don’t call her everyday 😒

But i guess that’s just what mom’s do because they care about you and want the best for you - or they just want to annoy you - i’m not really sure, but either way it’s cool 🤷🏻♂️

So, yes mom, this is me texting you to let you know i made it to the airport here in California and will be flying home for Christmas. so, get those cheeseburgers ready 🍔

Love you mom, see you soon! 🛩

PS. She’s not really a polar bear. She got this hat on our trip to Alaska two years ago and told her that one day I would post it on social media to embarrass her - and here it is 😅
