New life in the old west 🤠

After two months in Utah, it was time to giddy up on over to Jackson, Wyoming. Commonly known as Jackson Hole, this old western town is nestled in valley beside The Grand Tetons and is chock-full of all the adventures the old west has to offer 🐎

From the moment you step foot in town, you are greeted with the iconic elk antler arches, horse-drawn stage coaches trotting through the streets, moose crossing the highway, and cowboys with bright shiny belt buckles hauled up in the saloon. And I couldn’t wait to saddle up and join them 🤩

Over the last two weeks, I roped into to the legendary Jackson Hole Rodeo, took in two rowdy western musicals at the historic Jackson Playhouse, and saddled up with a whisky or three at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar 🥃

But Jackson isn’t just about cowboy bars and bucking broncos, it’s also steps away from some of the most incredible nature this side of the Mississippi. The moment my jeep pulled into Jackson, I hit up Jenny Lake, Death Canyon, and Phelps Lake in Grand Teton National Park, hiked up a wind Cave and waterfall in Darby Canyon, and practiced yoga atop a mountain 🏔

And since living in Jackson costs more than a few silver coins, I traded my typical AirBNB for a modern hostel just steps away from the Jackson Town Square. While I value my privacy and a quiet place to kick my boots up at the end of the day, it’s been so nice to meet fellow travelers and make new friends during this unusual time 😬

I may not have traded in my lululemon for stetsons and wranglers just yet, but I’m thoroughly enjoying my new life here in the old west. Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s time for me to saddle up for my next adventure. But before I ride off into the sunset, I’d like to know:

Could you see yourself living out in the old west?🐴
