As all good things must come to an end, so does my time here in Jackson, Wyoming - the last of the old west.
I will miss its breathtaking nature, countless outdoor adventures, and charming western culture 🤠
But above all, what i will truly miss the most, is my friends.
I will miss seeing them perform each week at the Jackson Playhouse, run circles around me at every crossfit workout, and greet me with a smile each time I walked into my favorite hostel, bars, and restaurants.
But most of all, i will miss my friends Daniel, Hilary, Leigh, and Tarine who made me feel at home from the moment I arrived in Wyoming, and who welcomed me into their community.
Indeed, there is truly no memory so fine as one spent in the company of friends like you ✨
As i reflect on my time here in Jackson, I realize how hard it is to leave somewhere you feel comfortable. And it’s even harder to leave when you know you’ll be leaving your friends behind.
Each time i saddle up and ride off to a new town, I struggle to keep it together knowing that i am leaving wonderful friends and a welcoming community.
But it is not my desire to live a comfortable life. Staying in one place would be easy - but i intend to see and do and experience as much as life has to offer, even if that comes with the pain of always having to say goodbye.
But i know my friends understand and wish me well - and that we’ll see each other again down the road. Whenever that may be.
Perhaps, in a way, traveling the world is much like being a modern day cowboy, With no true place to hang my hat, but with a lifetime of adventure and friendships under my belt, as i continuously ride off into the sunset of a life well lived 🌅
If so, i tip my hat to you, Jackson Wyoming, and i thank you for friendship and your hospitality.
And i bid you farewell, my friends - until we meet again ✌️
