Sydel’s Little Library 📚

My mother was an incredibly caring soul. She loved to craft, host for the holidays, and give back to her community. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. And her doors were always open to friends in need.

She was also an avid reader - often finishing a book each evening. You could always find a Nora Roberts, Danielle Steele, or some other cheesy romance novel lying by her bedside.

And she relied on her love of reading to inspire the elementary school children she taught to become the best versions of themselves. The world was truly better for she was in it.

But now that she is longer of this world, it is incumbent upon us to share her love of literature with the world. And so, we are proud to introduce the first little free library built in her honor: Sydel’s Little Library 🍍

With a bit of elbow grease, a whole lot of patience, and the help of her wonderful neighbors Rhonda and David, the Wall Boys built, painted, and installed her first library outside of our home in Coral Springs.

We’ve also developed a non-profit with the mission of sharing her passion for reading and giving back by building little free libraries across the world in all the places I will live.

And in doing so, we hope to keep her spirit alive, opening her little library doors to children in need, and inspiring the next generation of readers.

May her memory live on in our hearts and in her books ❤️
